My Knitting Library
My oldest niece loves Ladybugs since Grandma MacKay loves them. I
made this little sweater a number of years ago for Andrea as a
Christmas gift. She has since outgrown the sweater, but her
mother is keeping it since she loved it so much.
I honestly do not know what the fiber conent was for the black and
cream yarn. It appeared to be a blend of acrylic and cotton, but
more toward the acrylic side. If it was primarily acrylic, it was
high end yarn vs. the acrylic they sell in craft stores. I
purchased the yarn from "The Yarn Shop" in Glen Arbor, Michigan.
The ladybug was knit separately with 100% cotton slub yarn and sewn on
with black rayon yarn.
The little jacket was finished with chenille rick rack trim and a hidden snap closure placket.
