Angora linen sweater b.jpg
I had a lot of white angora yarn, but not enough for an entire sweater.  I finally decided to create this sweater using the 100% angora for the bodice and 100% linen for the off-the-shoulder sleeves.  To give it some more panache, I added the knitted bobble clusters of grapes made out of the linen with angora leaves and vines.  It looks fabulous with a long black skirt and a strand of pearls. I was approached to knit a purse for Step2 Company's United Way silent auction.  Meanwhile, I began teaching a class for this purse at Miss Chickpea's Funky Fibers.  I chose to make this purse out of 100% wool, felt it, and donate it to Step2 for their auction. 

It is knit on size 11 circular needles using Shepherd's Shades wool yarn.   The pattern is Knitwhit's HERBIE hat.  I did change the bottom of the pattern to a swirl rather than the square bottom.  Other variations may include beads or buttons rather than the bobbles (courtesy of one of my students).  The pattern and yarn is available at Miss Chickpea's Funky Fibers (see links page).
