Angora linen sweater b.jpg
I had a lot of white angora yarn, but not enough for an entire sweater.  I finally decided to create this sweater using the 100% angora for the bodice and 100% linen for the off-the-shoulder sleeves.  To give it some more panache, I added the knitted bobble clusters of grapes made out of the linen with angora leaves and vines.  It looks fabulous with a long black skirt and a strand of pearls. After starting this sweater a year ago, I finally finished it on February 15, 2005.  It was cause for celebration.   This sweater is knit with 2 cones of red 100% mercerized cotton on size 4 circular needles.  It is my own design and is finished off with simple crocheted edges at the neck and wrists.  The 8  mm red matte glass beads complement the sweater perfectly.  It has a small vent at the neckline and both sleeves have 6 inch vents with 3 beaded closures.   The stitch pattern directions are listed in one of my Blog posts.

Yes, this is me modelling the sweater.  My dear husband took these photos because the sweater looks so much better being modelled than displayed flat.
